ওয়েব ডেস্ক, বিপ্লবী সব্যসাচী পত্রিকা অনলাইন: ফের মেদিনীপুর শহরে উদ্ধার পিস্তল ও কার্তুজ। এর আগেও ভোর সন্ধ্যায় গুলি চালানোর ঘটনা ঘটেছিল শহরের বুকে। রীতিমতো আতঙ্কের পরিবেশ তৈরি হয়েছিল। শহরের বুকে বারে বারে পিস্তল উদ্ধার ঘিরে উঠছে প্রশ্ন। বুধবার রাতে পুজোর আগে স্পেশাল অভিযান চালালো কোতয়ালী থানার পুলিশ। মেদিনীপুর শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে ১৩ জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে।

এদের মধ্যে শহরের বটতলার বাসিন্দা রাহুল হাতির কাছ থেকে একটি পিস্তল ও এক রাউন্ড কার্তুজ উদ্ধার হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে পুলিশ। পাশাপাশি চোলাই মদ সহ এক ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেপ্তার করে আবাস থেকে।দীর্ঘদিন ধরে চোলাই মদের কারবার চালাচ্ছিল বলে অভিযোগ ওই ব্যক্তির বিরুদ্ধে। অন্যদিকে শহরের বুকে রমরমিয়ে জমির নকল দলিল তৈরির অভিযোগ আরেক ব্যক্তির বিরুদ্ধে। তাকেও এদিন গ্রেপ্তার করে পুলিশ।

সবমিলিয়ে মোট ১৩ জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে আদালতে তোলা হয়। মূলত পুজোর আগে শহরের দাগী আসামীদের গ্রেপ্তার করতে এই তৎপরতা। শহরের বাসিন্দাদের অনেকেই বলেন, পুলিশের এই অভিযান নিয়মিত হলে ক্রিমিনালরা পিস্তল নিয়ে শহরের বুকে ঘোরার সাহস পাবে না।

As a result, an atmosphere of panic was created. For this reason the question is being raised about the recovery of pistols in the heart of the city. Kotwali police conducted a special operation before Pujo on Wednesday night. 13 people were arrested from different parts of Medinipur city.
Among them, a pistol and a round of ammunition were recovered from Rahul Hati, a resident of Battala in the city, police said. Besides, a person was arrested with distilled liquor from his residence. It is alleged that he was running distilled liquor business for a long time. On the other hand, another person is accused of making fake land deeds in the heart of the city. He was also arrested by the police on the same day.
A total of 13 people were arrested and taken to court. This is mainly to arrest the tainted accused in the city before Pujo. Many of the city’s residents said that if the police raids were regular, criminals would not have the courage to go around the city with pistols.
