ওয়েব ডেস্ক, বিপ্লবী সব্যসাচী পত্রিকা অনলাইন: ভারী বর্ষণের জেরে ভেঙে পড়ল বাড়ির দেওয়াল। চাপা পড়ে মৃত্যু হলো এক মহিলার। ঘটনাটি পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার চন্দ্রকোনা টাউন থানার অন্তর্গত করঞ্জি গ্রামে। ওই মহিলার নাম প্রতিমা বাগ (৩৭)। পরিবারের লোকজন জানিয়েছেন, সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে বাড়ির পাশে থাকা মাটির গোয়াল ঘরে ঢুকে ছিলেন গরুকে খাবার দেওয়ার জন্য। তখনই রাতের বৃষ্টিতে ভিজে থাকা দেওয়াল হুড়মুড়িয়ে ভেঙে পড়লে চাপা পড়ে যায়। প্রতিবেশী ও পরিবারের লোকজন ছুটে এসে উদ্ধার করলেও বাঁচানো সম্ভব হয় নি।

বিগত কয়েকদিনের বৃষ্টিতে বহু বাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে। ফের মঙ্গলবার রাত থেকে শুরু হওয়া বৃষ্টিতে বাড়ি ভাঙার আশংকা ছিল প্রশাসনের। বিভিন্ন এলাকায় মাইকিং করা হয়েছে পাকাপোক্ত বাড়ি বা বিদ্যালয়গুলিতে আশ্রয় নেওয়ার জন্য। কিন্তু বাড়িতে গবাদি পশু থাকায় অনেকেই বাড়ি ছেড়ে যেতে চাননি। এদিনও রাতভর বৃষ্টির কারণে ওই মাটির দেওয়াল ভিজেছিল। তা থেকেই এই দুর্ঘটনা।

Web Desk, Biplabi Sabyasachi online paper: The wall of the house collapsed due to heavy rain. One woman died after being crushed. The incident took place at Karanji village under Chandrakona Town police station in West Midnapore district. The woman’s name is Pratima Bagh (37). According to the family members, she woke up in the morning and entered the mud barn next to the house to feed the cows. That’s when the wall soaked in the rain of the night collapsed and collapsed. Neighbors and family members rushed to the spot but could not save her.
Many houses have been damaged by the rains in the last few days. That is why the administration feared the house would collapse in the rain that started on Tuesday night. Miking has been done in different areas to take shelter in mature houses or schools. But many did not want to leave the house because they had cattle at home. Even today, the earthen wall was wet due to the overnight rain. That is why this accident happened.
