ওয়েব ডেস্ক, বিপ্লবী সব্যসাচী পত্রিকা অনলাইন: পিকআপ ভ্যানের ধাক্কায় মৃত্যু হল তিন বালক-বালিকার। আহত হলেন আরও অনেকে। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে মঙ্গলবার পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলার খড়্গপুর টাউন থানার অন্তর্গত গোলবাজারের চিলখানা (২২ নং ওয়ার্ডের শান্তিনগর সংলগ্ন) এলাকায়। জানা গিয়েছে, খেলার মাঠে সকালে খেলছিল ৬ জন বালক বালিকা।

সেই সময় হঠাৎ করে ছাগল ভর্তি একটি পিকআপ ভ্যান ব্যাক করছিল চালক। চালকের অদূরদর্শিতার কারণে ব্যাক করতে গিয়ে গাড়ির চাকায় পিষ্ট হয়ে ঘটনাস্থলেই মৃত্যু হয় দুই বালক ও এক বালিকার। আহত হয় বাকি তিনজন। উত্তেজনা ছড়ায় এলাকায়।

স্থানীয়রা আহত ৩ জনকে উদ্ধার করে খড়্গপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায়। ১ বালকের অবস্থার অবনতি দেখে চিকিৎসকরা তাকে কলকাতা রেফার করেন। এদিকে, এই ঘটনায় এলাকায় নেমে এসেছে গভীর শোকের ছায়া। ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে পুলিশ। গাড়িটিকে আটক করা হলেও, চালক পলাতক।

The incident took place on Tuesday in the Chilkhana area (adjacent to Shantinagar in Ward 22) of Golbazar under Kharagpur Town Police Station in West Midnapore district. It is learned that 8 boys and girls were playing in the playground in the morning.
At that time, the driver was backing a pickup van full of goats. Two boys and a girl died on the spot after crush by the wheel of the car while reversing due to the shortsightedness of the driver. The other three injure. Tensions spread in the area.
Locals rescued three injured people and took them to Kharagpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Seeing the deteriorating condition of 1 boy, the doctors referred him to Calcutta. Meanwhile, the incident has cast a shadow of deep mourning over the area. Police have started an investigation into the incident. Although the car seizes, the driver escaped.
